Project Jetta: Part 20

Hey it's been a while.  I'm back with another updated blog post about my little Project Jetta.  It seems like my car really disagrees with winter as it seems like I'm always fixing it at the tail end of winter.  Like last year it was the transmission and this winter well we had to change the head gasket, oh joy.

Project Jetta: Part 19

It's been a while, life has been interesting and in the middle of all that the Jetta had an issue.  An issue that required a new transmission and a new set of axles.  Oh yeah Part 19 is a big part.  A lot of things got fixed and changed. So where do I start? How about where we left the last part.  replacing the passenger side axle.

Porsche Coffee and Cars

Saturday was the monthly Porsche Coffee and Cars event and this month the drive went from the dealership out to a little ol' cafe in Ola, ID, before heading to Emmet, ID, and finally back to the dealership.  This was my first event back since the surgery and the first drive I went on this year.  Porsche of Boise has forgone the drive with the group since Ted left so I have to bum rides with other Silver Sage PCA members which can be interesting because you learn more about the people that way.

Project Jetta: Part 18

Already back with another update on the progress of the Jetta.  Granted it is a small update.  So a while ago the automatic transmission shift lever has pretty much broken down to the point where it needed to be replaced.  And as rare as an auto for a MK2 is I looked on eBay for a suitable replacement.  And a inexpensive one at that.

Project Jetta: Part 17

It's been a while since I've done the last Project Jetta update but I've done a bit of work to it. However, I've still got a laundry list of items that still need to be done.  So where to start well lets look at were we left off with last time.  The last time we visited Project Jetta I replaced the heater core and the water pump.  Since then I've moved to a different house and honestly a good majority of the projects got put on hold as I didn't, at the time, have a place to work on the car.  Things have changed and I'm getting the garage organized to be able to start working on the car again.
