RQ Team: Cinecitta Taisan Lady

I don't think there are that many teams left actually.  I might wrap this up before the new year.  At least the teams that have been around since the start.  I think I'll do the odd ball teams in one or two posts.  In any case lets get cracking on the latest RQ Team.  This week it's the Race Queen Team of Cine Citta' Taisan Lady.  These Race Queens support the GT300 team Taisan who run a Porsche 996 version GT3RSR.  They finished this year in 22nd place overall in the points standing.

That doesn't mean we have to stop checking the two member team of  Sayaka Nishiyama (西山さやか) and Sayo Yoshikawa (吉川紗代) out of course. Their Race Queen uniforms are pretty simple with a Black with white highlights mini skirt and halter top with jacket.  They also have knee high black boots and a choker as well.  Cinecitta is the major logo emblazoned on their uniform and if your wondering what Cine Citta' is it's actually a movie theater company.

I looked around to see if the ladies have been featured by any of the pro Race Queen sites and as far as I find they haven't done any work for any of them at the moment.  However, Sayaka does do other modeling work and you can find a lot of her pictures using Google Image search.  Then Sayo does other Race Queen and Car Image girl stuff as well.  Again Google Image search turns up a good number of extra images.

But we are here for their Race Queen images and this is what I've found so far.  There might be more later as people finish uploading their pictures from the last race.  I'd say check back after the last race in November but I don't think they will be there.

Oct 17, 2010 Autocross

I'm writing this blog right in the middle of the last two autocross events of the year.  Last week on weekend of the 17th the Snake River Region SCCA chapter held the second to last event at the Boise Expo Center and next week the last event will be held on Halloween at the Idaho Center in Nampa, ID.  Anyways, last weeks event was the latest event that I went to to film and do the whole paparazzi thing.

The course layout on Sunday was an interesting and fun layout that found a lot of jumps and tire lifts on course. I of course did not have an easy time at all trying to get some of those cool action shots.  In fact from the pictures I took it very much looked like I was really rusty with the whole pan and shot technique as I couldn't get any good clear shots.  I got maybe a handful of shots that would be considered good.

That doesn't mean I didn't have a good time.  Actually it was one of the better times as for a change there was only 60+ cars instead of the spring time 90+ cars so it was easier to get pictures and video and there was a lunch break in the middle that allowed even me to take a break and wonder around the paddock and relax for a  while.  Also the weather was nice.  It was cool and breezy which means I was able to be comfortable while filming.  Of course the the constant overcast didn't help with the pictures at all.

Not only was the course an interesting set up but there was also a handful of new and rarely out cars that also made this event a good one.  The Rossion Q1 which I had only been able to film once earlier was back and I was able to get a few more videos of the car.  A new older Saab was out in force.  It was interesting to watch just for the backfire noise. Also out for the first time was a BMW M5 Touring car that I got a few videos and pictures of.  I didn't get any videos of the also out for the first time Porsche 944 though.

After all was said and done I was able to get about 124 pictures and 132 videos out of the event.  And for someone who isn't a big fan of Corvettes I ended up filming them the most with a total of 18 Corvette videos.  I used to not even film the Corvettes.  And then on the flip side I love Porsche cars but I only managed two videos of the only Porsche 911 out there.  Hopefully next week I get to correct that issue. That and hopefully the other Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X with the color combo that I love will be back for this coming last race of the year before it goes back under the knife.

2010 Super GT Rd 8 Motegi GT 250km

The last pointed race of the 2010 season was an all out race from everyone for those last points to climb the championship ladder.  What a race.  Watching the 15 minute recap that was uploaded by our favorite YouTuber PM190 was cool even though I had already checked out the results last night because I was really looking forward to seeing how the Racing Miku did after clenching 2nd in qualifying.  I'll say for now that they definitely did better than last year but they weren't able to pull out a podium finish just yet.

From what I could gleam from the video this was a series fight for points that say some really good battles for not just 1st though 3rd but for points to take the championship.  In the GT500 class it was a close race in points for the championship between The Honda HSV-010 of Weider who's closest rival for the championship were given a Stop and Go penalty before the race even started (source -- 7tune).  With team Eneos out of the picture it still wasn't an easy race for Weider as it was a serious battle from flag to flag with the Petronas Team.  During the race it was a door slapping tire rubbing race around the corners and a mad dash down the straights to see who had the will to out brake the other team.  In the end the Weider Honda HSV-010 couldn't find it's way around the Petronas Lexus SC430 and finished the race in 2nd place.

That was enough though for the Weider team to clinch the GT500 Championship with a total of 84 points, only two points a head of first place finisher Petronas.  Team Eneos was only able to manage one point leaving them with 70 points at the end.  Third place in the points went to another Honda HSV-010 of team Keihin.  This was definitely a good year for Honda Racing and it'll be interesting to see what they bring to the game next year.

In the GT300 race it was a wild race all except for the Hasemi Nissan 350Z who started in pole position and finished in first several seconds in front of the the second place Apple k-one Shiden.  The real battle was back in 3rd and 4th with an all Italian battle that pitted 3rd place JLOC Lamborghini against the 4th place JimGainer Ferrari.  Their battle was  an door slapping tire rubbing drag race to the corners were the two cars would trade places from corner to corner.  The JLOC Lamborghini was able to win the battle for 3rd place.

While I was really looking forward to a great finish for the Racing Miku team thanks to a early Stop and Go penalty that sent them to the back of the pack and then later in the race they were punted around the track by the GT300 ARTA Garaiya.  With that shunt the Racing Miku team was able to finish in 9th place their best finish yet.  This also meant that the Racing Miku team finished the season in 16th place a much better finish than last years finish that is for sure.

With the Hasemi Team finishing in first and the two top contenders finishing back in the middle of the pack Hasemi came out on top with the Championship with a total of 82 points 9 points ahead of the ARTA Garaiya.  This also means the M7 Re-Amemiya RX7 will be retiring with a 3rd place finish in the championship points. Again this was a great year for the GT300 teams that say a lot of interesting battles and finishes.

Up next in November is the East Vs. West Fuji Sprint Cup and I'm not sure who I'll be rooting for just yet as I can't find out which side Racing Miku will be on at the moment.  When I do you know I'll be rooting for that side.

Here's the recap video --

RQ Team: Bomex Race Queen and Lian Gal

Getting in a RQ Team before the start of the 8th round of the Super GT which is be starting some time tomorrow.  Watched the qualifying and it was the awesome.  This week's Race Queen Team the BOMEX and Lian Race Queens represent the GT300 Bomex Lian Porsche Boxster.  The Bomex Boxster doesn't have a chance at the title in this race as it's sitting in 21st place with 4 points.  I'd be optimistic about it's chances at a good finish in the race but qualifying in dead last that doesn't really inspire confidence. But hey they're still racing and they still have lovely Race Queens to drool over.

The Bomex Race Queen and Lian Gal are a three member group.  They are Sakura Mizutani (水谷さくら) and Mayumi Morishita (森下まゆみ) for Bomex Race Queen and Sora Yamada (山田空) for Lian Gal.  These Race Queens take the cake this year for the strangest Race Queen uniforms.  They all have different outfits.  The Lian Gal uniform is basically an all white uniform with a short frilly skirt with frilly tank top.  Sakura has a mostly blue uniform with a touch of silver the really strange part is the short skirt that looks like its been shredded. The uniform also has a tank top and a interesting choker with the silver Bomex logo.  That's followed by Mayumi's uniform that is a white with red accents number that is made up of a  mini skirt and a top that is mostly like a pair of coveralls with a piece of see through material holding the two sides together.  All I know is that it really shows off her nice cleavage. I believe all three ladies pull double duty as Race Queens in other motorsports like D1 and Super Taikyu.

I've looked around to see if the ladies have done any work for professional race queen groups like RQ-Star and Topqueen.   And I found that Sakura Mizutani has done a complete set for RQ-Star this year while Mayumi Morishita has done a complete set for RQ-Star a previous year.  However, while Sora Yamada hasn't done anything for the Race Queen groups she does have other professional photosets and DVDs out there as well.  Searching Google should get you some working links to the goodies.

Lets get a move on with the Race Queen pictures though.  Remember to check the main sites after the races (after this weekend it'll only be the one race in Nov.) for picture updates.

RQ Team: Apple K-one · Shiden Race Queen

It's been a busy weekend and to finish it off I'm getting the latest Race Queen Team Feature out before it's over.  Well Hopefully.  Next week folks is the last pointed race of the 2010 series so it's going to be an interesting finish to the year.  This week's RQ Team is the Apple K-one Shiden Race Queens.  These lovely Race Queens support the unique modified Daytona Prototype of team Cars Tokai Dream28 which races under the name of Apple K-one Shiden.  Currently the team is in 6th place going into the last pointed race with zero chance of getting the championship this year.

For the Race Queen team it's a two member team made up of Emi Kunikata (國方えみ) and Atsuko Deguchi (出口厚子) which thanks to my recently acquired RQ books I know their names are correct for a change.  I'll have to go back later and make sure all the other names are correct as well.   Back to these two Race Queens who have had two outfits this year.  Both outfits were dark blue with white accents and emblazoned with the Heartily Logo. The first outfit was a semi-tight miniskirt with a midriff sailor outfit top with lots of cleavage popping openness for the lack a better definition. The second outfit was even better since the top was basically just a frilly bikini top with a frilly miniskirt.  Their knee high boots changed from black at first to white.  To be honest I liked the first outfit better.  Interesting enough looking for pictures of them I found a lot more pictures of them working at the TAS and other car shows where they also worked for Heartly then I did for them strutting about in their Race Queen outfits.

As for professional Race Queen outings I haven't seen anything yet released but that doesn't mean they won't be involved with any of the outfits like RQ-star or TopQueen.  It does look like the ladies have done some outside the Race Queen world modeling though and I've included some links to that as well.  So there will be lots of picture links this time out.  So on with the picture links. Don't forget to check out the main sites after the remaining races for possible updates.

Rauh-Welt in eurotuner Magazine

There are a handful of car blogs that I visit on a regular interval to see if anything new and cool has popped up.  One of those is the blog for Mr. Ichiraku who just so happens to be an owner of a very green Rauh-Welt Porsche 964 Wide-body.  You've seen his car in this blog before when they released some videos on YouTube.  The other day I saw a small little image of his car on the cover of a magazine.  Not exactly something new as his car has been on a few magazine covers.  This time however it was on the cover of eurotuner.  Hell Ya!

I used to really enjoy reading eurotuner magazine but after a while the quality just went to shit and it turned into a magazine that I just wasn't interested in reading any more.  However with a Rauh-Welt car on the cover especially one that I really like well I had to have a copy.

It was easy enough to find at Barnes and Noble so I picked it up took it home and didn't waste any time getting to the article and pictures.  You gotta love full page spreads of a gorgeous old school air-cooled 911 with the huge wide-body and massive wing from the Carrera Cup racing heritage.  The article features three Rauh-Welt cars the Green Ichiraku, the Orange Makabe and Nakai-san's rather famous Stella Artois makes a small appearance in it's current configuration which means it's minus the Gold Deepdish SSR rims. This time it does have the rear bumper attached though.

The article does a good job looking at Mr. Ichiraku's Daily Driver (that's right his machine is a Daily Driver now that's pretty cool) and gives us some specs on car which until now I never new.  So there are some very good parts to the article that help give any fan of Rauh-Welt an extra piece of the puzzle.  However, there are some really glaring omissions in the article.  Like not even a mention of Idlers Games which Rauh-Welt is a major part of.  Not only that but there is little more than a sentence on his involvement in the AE86 racing world where Nakai-san got his start with Rauh-Welt in the first place.  But I guess if you're a euro mag you'd be inclined to leave that out.

All said I'd have to give the article a B and the images a B- but that might be due more to the magazine paper quality than to the actual pictures themselves.  The pictures in 0-60mag were of a much higher quality on higher quality paper.  Now if DSPORT would do an article on Rauh-Welt well I'd be in heaven with their high quality images and paper but Porsche's are outside their demographics but that doesn't mean they can't feature the S14 Silvia and AE86s instead.  If you are a fan of Rauh-Welt Begriff then I would say that this issue is a must buy or at least worthy of a read through in the store.  I couldn't find any pictures from the magazine online but I did find an online version of the magazine and did some pchopping to get the images for this blog and which I also uploaded the rest to a set on flickr which you can find here -- Rauh-Welt in eurotuner

Now enjoy the green machine in another video....

Super GT News Updates

Oh yeah lots of news leading up to the final two races of the 2010 Super GT racing series.  I should have been on the ball about the news earlier really as all this news was out in the end of September.  Thankfully for me a lot of the announcements have answered the handful of questions that I've had.  The first announcement is regarding what has happened since the cancellation of the 7th round of the series.  The second announcement goes on to discuss how round 8 will be effected by the cancellation of round 7 and finally the third announcement is about the final non pointed all star race.

Round 7 Cancellation --
With the cancellation it was decided that there would not be an alternative race held.  Instead the 2010 Super GT series will be concluded in only 7 rounds (so the race on Oct 24 will be the last pointed event and the championship decider) with the championship winners being awarded to those with the most points accumulated in those 7 rounds.  For those cars that were entered to race in the 7th round there is good news as they are being marked as a participant in the race so that they will be eligible to participate in the 9th round the All Star race.  To help rebuild after the destruction of the Typhoon there were several fund raising events held to raise money to help Oyama Town rebuild.  Another one was held at the Nissan Global Headquarters on the same day.  In total both events raised 2.6mm yen to help Oyama Town.

Round 8 Handicaps --
One of the things I didn't know is that during the final pointed event of the series success ballasts and handicap weights are removed for those teams that have been racing since Round 1.  That means the final race is a no holds race to the finish line for those last very important points.  With regards to the 7th round if the car was entered to race it was marked as a participant and their Handicap weight for Round 8 will be decided accordingly.  For the GT500 class it means all the cars will be racing with a 0kg handicap.  For the GT300 class the handicap help will only really matter to the top 5 cars in the class.  As the rest of the field simply wont be able to win the championship with their current points total.  This is also the last chance for any cars to be eligible to be entered into the 9th round and the All Star race.

The Entry List has been published for the 8th round and it looks like the only car not listed to participate is the GT300 Hankook Porsche.

Round 9 Fuji Sprint Cup: East Vs. West --
The last event of the year (round 9) is not a pointed event but an end of the year All Star Race that pits participants from Super GT and Formula Nippon in a race that will see an East Vs. West Competition where the teams will be split between drivers born in East Japan versus drivers born in the West of Japan.  The winning team will be decided by the grand total of points received by the drivers not only in the Super GT race and Formula Nippon Race but all the supporting races as well.  Fans will also be able to help out their team by buying team specific colored wrist straps that will add points to their team's score.  The Fuji Sprint Cup will be held on Nov 12-14.

The announcement for the Fuji Sprint Cup came during the Motor Sport Japan Festival held at the beginning of October.  The Motor Sport Japan Festival is a show case of Motorsports events in Japan that allows the fans to get an up close and personal look at the events get autographs from their favorite drivers and other fun things.  There are several videos on YouTube from this years event.

Here is a clip of the Super GT cars that were there.

2010 Oktoberfast Porsche Car Show

I was looking forward to this Sunday's Oktoberfast Porsche Car Show put on by the Silver Sage Region Porsche Club of America.  Soon enough Sunday was already here with some lovely warm fall weather to brighten the day and make the 100 plus Porsches that showed up for this year's car show shine in the bright morning light.  Sadly though the car show is turning into the rest of Idaho's car show scene.  It's the same old same old.  There were only a handful of new cars there and there just wasn't anything that wowed me.

Now don't get me wrong there were a lot of nice cars in attendance and if you had never gone to the show before you would have enjoyed what you say.  As this was my third time to one of their shows it was a lot of the same old same old. For the Idaho car show scene that's fast becoming pretty standard.  A handful of new cars but the majority of the cars are the same ones from previous show and usually without any upgrades.  I really do dislike seeing cars entered into shows for years with the same crappy paint jobs, torn up interiors and broken pieces.  But then I also dislike hearing people talk about how much better their car would be but it's still sitting in their garage being worked on.

Last year's car show had the official unveiling of the Panamera so turn out last year was huge.  This year however they limited the number of entries to 110 and there was a significantly smaller turnout but I'm sure they hit the limit and then some.  If you are a fan of Porsches like I am there was something there for you to look at a few samples of the none flat six variety were there but it was for the most part a 911 show.  A lot of older air cooled version with a handful of water cooled 911s.  There just wasn't anything super cool or show winning no GT cars nothing just "OMG I'm so glad I came to this show to see this" and for me that was disappointing but not exactly a bad thing.

I know I love 911s so the pictures that I took are of course mostly of 911s and you can find all the pictures that I took on this flickr set -- 2010 Oktoberfast

Until next year.

RQ Team: D's Station Fresh Angel

With the weekend almost over already I should get in the latest Race Queen Team Feature before it's to late.  This week I think I'll feature one of the lovely Race Queens for the Lexus Team Kraft.  One of a handful of GT500 teams running a Lexus SC430 is the Lexus Team Kraft who are presently heading into the final pointed event later on in October at 8th place.  They do have a slight chance of finishing the series championship at the top.  I'll have another post up later in the week on how the last two races will shake down.

But today is all about the lovely Race Queen.  There are two groups of race queens for the Lexus Team Kraft the first is the single Race Queen D's Station Fresh Angel and the other is the two Race Queen group of RealB Voice.  For this post I'll be featuring the D's Station Fresh Angel Race Queen who is the new comer Junko Mayo (真野淳子). The D's Station Race Queen outfit is a typical mini skirt, halter top with jacket and thigh high boots.  The color scheme is mostly white with bright green accents and red letter for the D's Station logo on the halter top.  The RQ outfit is nice but you can also find her on the internet modeling in regular clothing as well.  She's pretty hot and might be be in the running for the Race Queen of the year.

Junko has unlike a lot of the other girls been really busy with the professional Race Queen photography groups.  She has sets for RQ-star, TopQueen and MaidQueenz.  I could have sworn she did something for the RaceQueenClub as well but I can't find anything for her with that group.  You can still find those sets out there fairly easy so I wont post any of them here.  I will however get on with post her other Race Queen pictures that are lurking about the internet.  Remember to check the websites for updates after the last two races.

NSX-GT FR Hybrid -- HELL YA!

When I posted the 2011 Schedule for the Super GT I mentioned Jon Sibal (go here to see more pictures of the car) posted about something interesting.  That interesting thing was a Front Engine Rear Wheel drive Honda (Acura) NSX-GT that was seen testing at the Twin Ring Motegi track earlier this week alongside other Super GT cars and there was a lot of interest as to what Honda was doing with the test car.  After a lot of searching for more information I came up empty handed minus the news source that Jon found.  That was until posted an English explanation later in the week.

As it turns out the Test Mule NSX-GT was an older FR test mule that was fitted with a new KERS system supplied by Zytek.  Zytek is the company that worked with the McLaren F1 team to develop their KERS system. The reason for the testing is that the regulations for 2012 Super GT allows for use of hybrid technology in the race cars and so far only Honda has stepped up to the plate to start testing this week.

Testing of the NSX-GT FR was done by Honda with the help of Zytek personal during the week.  The first day the car set a time of 1.50.634 and while that was significantly slower than the best lap time that the former NSX-GT turned in when it was officially racing.  The hybrid prototype was in the capable hands of Katsutomo Kaneishi and on the second day of testing he was able to set a lap time of 1.49.468.  This was with the weight handicap of the KERS system that adds 50kg to the weight of the car.  To combat this increased weight the KERS system and it's related parts were moved to the rear of the car (as apposed to the passenger seat area in the Porsche GT3R Hybrid).  In total the NSX-GT FR prototype is close to 100kg heavier than the HSV-010.

The KERS system that was being tested in the NSX-GT FR prototype is a battery-equipped & liquid-cooled hybrid system that is capable of an output of 40kw.  This power was capable of giving the car a 20sec boost in power like seen in the F1 system.  In addition to that it is also capable of allowing the GT car to move down pit lane under only electric power.  This was seen during testing as the NSX-GT FR was piloted through pitlane underpower but making zero noise.  It was also noted that the KERS system is capable of charging the batteries from a zero charge setting to a full charge in one lap of a race.

All I have to say is hell yeah 2012 will look interesting.  So far though it looks like the KERS system may be limited to the GT500 class so don't hold your breath on seeing more Porsche GT3R Hybrids running around in GT300.  As it sits anyway.  I just want to say thanks to Jon for finding the information first and reporting on it.  And thanks to for the better explanation and more information a little bit later.  Now we just need some bigger pictures of the car dang it.

Also here's a video of the car in action.

2011 Super GT schedule

Jon Sibal posted something really interesting on his blog the other day and I wanted to find out more about it.  In looking for more information on what he posted I found out that the 2011 Super GT schedule has been posted already.  It's not a finalized schedule just yet but it gives us a pretty good look at how the race season next year is shaping up.

Thankfully this coming year wont see as many repeat tracks unlike this year's season.  Also hopefully no acts of god will hamper the season.  In any case here is the as scheduled 2011 Super GT race season --

2011 calendar (in process for FIA authorization)
Round 1 4/2 - 3 Okayama International Circuit
Round 2 4/30 - 5/1 Fuji Speedway
Round 3 6/18 - 19 Sepang International Circuit
Round 4 7/30 - 31 Sportsland SUGO
Round 5 8/20 - 21 Suzuka Circuit
Round 6 9/10 - 11 Fuji Speedway
Round 7 10/1 - 2 Autopolis
Round 8 10/15 - 16 Twin Ring Motegi
Special event 11/12 - 13 Fuji Speedway
It's looking like they are trying to get the hottest race of the series in earlier in the year which I'm sure many will be happy about. It's also interesting to see April is host to two races and the largest break will be in middle of the summer from the middle of June until the end of July.  Of course the time off between the end of April and the middle of June is pretty damn long as well.  Gives the teams lots of time for Sepang I guess.

Back next year will be an event at the Autopolis which was left off this year's race schedule.  You can take a quick look at what that might look like thanks to the race in 2009.

Uwe Gemballa -- Murdered

So it looks like all the speculation from when Uwe Gemballa disappeared earlier this year during a business trip to South Africa were very much true.  Uwe Gemballa has been found murdered, shot execution-style in the head. His body was discovered on September 28th with his hands bound behind his back wrapped and dumped in Atteridgeville.  So far there has been no indication whether his death was recent or if he was killed when he was first reported missing in February of this year.  The full story is still unwinding.

So here's the fun nitty gritty of the story.  February while under investigation by German authorities Uwe takes a business trip to South Africa were he suddenly calls his wife telling her he's been in an accident.  After that he isn't heard from again.  With his disappearance a missing person report is filed and news comes out about his many shady business deals and practices that  lead the German authorities to investigate him and his company for Tax evasion and other illegal activities.

Fast forward to this week when more information had surfaced about his involvement with Czech fugitive and South African organized crime boss, Radovan Krejcir which may have involved cash stuffed imported cars being used in a large scale money laundering scheme.  With the discovery of his body this last week though it helps to put an end to some of the questions but raises many more.  There is still a lot of speculation going around about what exactly befell the once famous Porsche Tuner but it is a sad end for his story.

To be honest I was never a fan of the Gemballa Tuner but still that's a sad end and I wish the company the best of luck in continuing after this recent development.

RQ Team: Calsonic Lady

It's the end of the week which means it's time for another Race Queen Team feature and this week's lovely Race Queen is the Calsonic Lady who is the Race Queen for Team Impul the famous GT500 Blue and white Nissan GTR.  The Team Impul GTR is currently sitting in 5th place going into the 8th round of the series.  It doesn't look like it will have a chance to make it to the Series Championship though unless something spectacular happens.

This year's Calsonic Lady is the new on the scene Race Queen Amy Kubo (久保エイミー) who looks to be of mixed heritage giving her a  pretty cute look.  I think it's going to be a very tight race at the end of the year for the Race Queen of the Year award.  Amy's Race Queen outfit is also a little different with a frilly mini skirt and Tube top with jacket.  she also wears either high heels or knee high boots.  In addition to that her outfit also includes a choker and arm band when she isn't wearing the jacket.

I know I can tell you that Amy has done a complete set of photoshots for RQ-star and she does look outstandingly cute in all of the sets.  Like I've mention before I'm no longer including links to RQ-Star sets but I can tell you that they are easy to find on the internet like Jappydolls for example.  As far as I can find those are the only professional photoshots she's done.  However, I do hope to see more of her.

With that being said it's time to look at her Race Queen pictures that are out there.  Remember to check the main sites after each of the races (now only two) for updated pictures.
