Hankook Lady -- Korea Vs. Japan

In a slight departure from my normal Race Queen post I'll be giving us a slight peak into the Korean Race Queen world.  I don't post about the Korean Race Queens because to be honest they get some really great coverage else where and I just wouldn't be able to add anything new to what they post.  I'm doing this post because I thought it would be cool to do after I saw that the Korean Hankook Ladies had the same uniform as the Japanese Hankook Ladies and I've been wanting to do a Korean Race Queen Vs. Japanese Race Queen post.

Of course I've already done a RQ Team Feature on the Japanese Hankook Ladies and you can find that post here -- RQ Team: Hankook Lady but we'll do a little recap for you.  The Japanese Hankook Lady team is made up of Hiroko Yoshino, Yoshi Musume and Yurie Asada and out of the bunch Yurie is in my opinion the cutest one followed closely by Yoshi.  I love black hair but Hiroko just has an odd to me face.  As a team they though they rank up there pretty high with a cute interesting uniform cute Race Queens and in my opinion an awesome car to be representing, one of the Porsche 911(997m) GT3R. The Hankook team were able to pull out a pretty respectable race season finishing in 17th place for only being able to compete or finish in three races during the season.  They were able to compete in the Fuji Sprint Cup where they also had a pretty respectable race as well. The Race Queens have also been out and around more as well turning up in more videos and additional Race Queen pictures including some new sets in the professional series as well.  I'm not going to post those here though as I'd rather post that in the original post instead.

On the other hand the Korean Hankook Race Queens I've never featured and they also have an additional member on their team.  The Korean Team members are Cho Yu Na (조유나), Kim Na Na (김나나), Lee Sung Hwa (성화님) and Han Chae-I (한채이) and the problem here is that they all have straight jet black hair.  And are all really cute.  That's one of the reasons why I REALLY like Korean Race Queens.  The good majority of them are my type of Asian cuties and that's pretty damn hard to ignore.  What they don't have going for them is the car.  It's not a Porsche in fact I'm not even sure what it is because no one seems to care about the cars actually racing in the CJ Super Race and you only see little bits and pieces of them in the coverage.  I think the car might be a Hyundai Genesis Coupe but I'm not really sure.

Now since I don't have any links to the Korean Hankook ladies I'll just have to fix that problem right now.  I visit a few different sites that regularly post Korean models and you'll be able find a multitude of different Korean Race Queens at the following Sites --

I know I've seen some other posts with the Hankook ladies in them but for the life of me I can't find them at the moment. 

So the question is Who wins?  Well that really depends on your tastes.  Korea wins the number of members but Japan wins for a much better car to represent but hands down my opinion is that the Korean Hankook Ladies are just hella cute compared to their Japanese counterparts. Of course if you're still not convinced that I'm right there are some videos of the Korean Hankook Ladies in action.

RQ Team: Mola Lady

We are definitely getting down to the last couple of Race Queen Teams and the one for this weekend will be the Race Queen Team Mola Ladies who are the Race Queens for the GT300 team of Up Start Mola Z who race the second Nissan 350Z (Fairlady Z).  The Up Start Mola Z team managed to finish the season out in 6th place.  They also had a strong showing at the Fuji Sprint Cup.

The Mola Lady Race Queen Team is a 2 member team made up of Sayaka Anno (安野冴香) and Kokoro Narumi (鳴海こころ) both of who were newbies this year.  In this case Kokoro is definitely also the cuter of the two.  Their uniforms are pretty basic two toned silver and black mini skirt and halter top outfit with some knee high boots.  They also wear a black choker and occasionally  they appeared wearing fishnet stockings, lace gloves and a fur-lined mid-drift jacket.  During the year the ladies didn't get a whole lot of exposure which is why they are way back here at the end of the year.

Looking to see if they did any professional modeling for the Race Queen groups and neither one of them did but Kokoro did do a set for dynamitechannel earlier in year.  So it looks like I'll just be posting what Race Queen pictures that I can find.  Although if you search for the ladies by their names on google image search you'll find more than Race Queen pictures as well so if you want to see more of them I'd head there as well.

Post 100

A small milestone for my autoblog.  This is the hundredth post for Festival of Speed and it's been an interesting journey so far.  I'm not really sure if it's at were I wanted to to be at but really I'm feeling good about how it has turned out. A lot has happened since I started this blog back on April 10th of this year.  Has it improved? Have I improved?  Is blog even relevant?  I wold like to think that it has definitely answered yes to all of those questions.

Of course only the readers can really answer that and with the total lack of comments and only one follower I'm not entirely sure about the relevant part at all.  However,  I do believe that I have improved both the blog and myself over time.  The whole reason I started the car blog and separated it from my hillbilly Otaku anime blog was to be taken serious and be more professional so that I'd get maybe better offers and more interest in other things.  That may have paid off with Porsche last week with the 911 test drive.

Of course what would a milestone post be with out some stats.  Thanks to Google's Analytics (minus a small hicup) I have a good bit of knowledge about the site's traffic.  Since April 10th the site has been visited 3052 times from just about every where on the planet.  I am missing a few countries here and there though. I've tossed up an image of how it's gone since it started.

So know that we know how it's gone up to now what can be in store for the next hundred posts or so.  Will I have it done before my 1 year anniversary? Probably not, but I'll definitely give it a shot.  Maybe that will be my goal for this coming year.  Another 100 posts by April 10, 2011.  Goal, set, match.  Of course the funny thing is that over on the Anime blog side I have 3 posts until I hit post number 666,  how much fun will that be.

Now the question is just how am I going to do that.  I"m not going to resort to the easy as pie post a cool picture I found on the internet that's what the sweet ride of the day is for.  I might have a look back at some older stuff that I've done. I'll definitely be looking at news of the upcoming 2011 Super GT season.  I still have to find out what's happening to the Honda CRZ from a while ago.  I'll be covering any new Porsche and RWB news that I come across also.  Since the Idaho motor scene is pretty much dead until about March or so there wont be much in that regards.

And don't forget the videos.  Lots more videos in store for the next year.  Maybe even some snow drifting if the snow allows.  I'm also sure I'll toss some odd ball posts in there as well.  Of course how could I forget the Race Queens.  Of course that'll be around for ever on Friday in one way or another as it seems to be the biggest draw to the site.

2010 JAF Fuji Sprint Cup

It's been a couple weeks since the Fuji Sprint Cup has been run.  I was really hoping for a good couple videos of the Super GT part of the race to pop up on YouTube but after two weeks not a thing.  There are a ton of short little segments that people personally filmed but no epic 10-15 minute recap of the race like we got with the Super GT races.  I found both race digests on Super GT.net and since no one else has uploaded them I'm going to.  No guarantees though for how long they'll stay up there.  In any case on with the races.

Thankfully the Fuji raceway and surrounding area were repaired after the Typhoon that wrecked the area canceling the 7th race of the Super GT series.  With that the 2010 Fuji Sprint Cup was set to role with the East vs West challenge pitting drivers of Formula Nippon and Super GT facing off against each other in a series of races over the weekend.  As I only followed Super GT I'll be focusing on that group of races.

For the Super GT cars the Fuji Sprint Cup was ran a bit differently than normal first of all there was two races each driver of the car entered drove the car the entire length of the race.  Also different is that instead of running both classes together they ran separately so in total there were four races in two days.  Another difference for the race was the start.  The Fuji Sprint Cup featured a standing start which caught a few drivers by surprise during the races.

RACE 1
GT500 -- This race was dominated by the pole sitting GT500 SC430 of Zent Cerumo while the other cars fought hard for positions the Zent ran away from them.  It was a dog fight for the rest of the drivers though as they fought for positions.  The Super GT GT500 points Championship winner was stuck in 7th place as another Honda HSV-010 (Keihin) was able to fight it's way to a 2nd place win with the Calsonic Impul Nissan GT-R claiming the 3rd place finish.

GT300 -- This was the first time this season an Italian car won the race.  The GT300 race was a bit more interesting finding some cars really battling it out to get to first place and stay there.  But it was the GT300 Ferrari F430 of  Team JimGainer Dixcell Dunlop that was able to battle it's way up to first place after a horrid start and cold tires dropping it back to 13th place.  Right behind him was the Corolla Axio APR GT car in 2nd place followed by the Hankook Porsche who returned after an absence in the last Super GT race to bring home a 3rd place win.

RACE 2
GT500 -- The second day of racing saw a whole different race with a completely different podium finish from Race 1.  This time it was the GT500 SC430 Team Eneos that was able to take advantage of a slow start from the pole sitter to jump up early and remain in 1st from the start of the race.  Once again it was a run away win with the cars behind him battling it out to claim the last two podium places.  Claiming 2nd position was another SC430 of Team MJ Craft.  The GT500 points champion Weider Honda HSV-010 was able to fight its way from 12th to 3rd before the end of the race.  It was helped along the way by a few crashes and off track excursions one by the yesterday's winner the Zent Cerumo SC430 and another by the Raybrig Honda HSV-010.  It was a fast and furious race for the end.

GT300 -- The Italian prancing horse of JimGainer Dixcell Dunlop was able to pull off a hat trick and win both days.  Once again the GT300 battle for the Ferrari was not an easy task.  Finding himself back in the pack again he had to fight his way past several cars to find his way into 3rd position where he was able to pick up his pace even more after getting clear of traffic.  Up to then 1st and 2nd place was held by the two top points earners the pair of Nissan 350Z.  The GT300 points champion Tomica Z was in first but not for very long.  The Ferrari made short work of the pair claiming it's second win of the weekend.  The two Nissan 350Zs finished in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

With the races over and the points totaled the final tally was in for the Battle of the East vs West showdown.  And who was the over all winner of the weekend with the most points at 658 it was Team East with the win against Team West with only 586 points.

An interesting side note about the race though.  I thought that only teams who competed in 5 races before hand were allowed to join they Fuji Sprint Cup but low and behold there were a couple of new cars out there in the GT300 class. [EDIT] apparently I'm not all that bright as there were no NEW cars just re-skinned cars.  There was a new Corolla running by the name of Magical Carbon APR Axio <-- Actually this was the EVA car just re-skinned for a new sponser.  It had an OK race on day 1 but on Day 2 it had a pretty nasty crash that took it out of the race.  In addition there were a couple new Porsche 911s out there as well.  There was a new Sabelt Cine Citta' Taisan Porsche and a 911 GT3R from Porsche Japan <-- this was the Racing Miku 911 stripped of it's "Itasha" skin for some marketing purposes for next year.  In sad news thought these were the absolute last races for the M7 Mutiara Motors Amemiya RX7 as it has been retired to sit in a Motorsports Museum in Malaysia.

Porsche Cayman R

In February there will be a new Porsche Cayman joining the ever growing Porsche stable.  This one is special and comes with an all important addition to the badge, an R.  People have wanted more from the Cayman S and with the R badge Porsche finally gives them an answer.  The new Cayman R was official unveiled during the LA Autoshow that happened last week.  It was there with the new Carrera GTS and the new 911 Speedster.

Of course they would have to unveil the car in probably the worst color possible a one hell of an ugly puke green color.  Thankfully unlike the Speedster it's available in more than a handful of colors.  I'm also sure the lettering on the side will be optional as well if you like yours clean. Thankfully I found a Photoshopped white image to use.

In Porsche's own words the R is reserved for very special sports cars.  The R stands for responsive and refined – but most especially for racy.  And the Cayman R combines all of those attributes by shaving wait, adding horsepower and changing up the chassis for a lower and more sporty driving experience.  The Cayman R's 3.4L midship engine sports an additional 10hp for a new total of 330hp.  In addition the Cayman R shaves 121lbs from the standard car.  With the additional horse power and the diet the Cayman R is capable of getting to 62mph in a rapid 5 seconds flat.  But wait if get the Cayman R with PDK you can accelerate to 62mph in only 4.9 seconds but you'll lose 1mph at the top end with a top speed of 175mph and 174mph respectively.  Add the sport chrono and the 0-62mph time drops to 4.7 seconds.

Not only does the Cayman R get an updated engine and chassis but the Cayman R receives a new fixed rear spoiler, lowered by 0.79 inches and given light weight 19inch rims as part of the diet.  Of course you can also opt to get the light weight lithium-ion battery to even loose some extra weight. But back to the exterior there are a few other minor changes to the exterior and interior but it's nothing to drastic.

All that adds up to a nice little package for those who wanted more out of their Cayman cars and I'm sure it'll sell well when it goes on sale February of 2011 for an MSRP of $95,957.

RQ Team: Raybrig Race Queen

I'm getting close to the end of the 2010 Race Queen teams with only 4 main teams and a handfull of various other Race Queens of course that also leaves me with some of the less popular Race Queen teams not that they are not as important or cute or anything it's just that they didn't pop up as much on blogs and what not as much as the other ones.  This weeks Race Queen team feature will be for the Race Queens of the GT500 Honda HSV-010 Team Kunimitsu Raybrig.  This year the Raybrig team finished the season in 7th place with some good finishes during the year.

The Raybrig Race Queens is a two member team of Yuka Tanaka (田中優夏) and Rina Kato (加藤里奈) at the start of the year I wasn't really liking their uniform because of the over top that they had over the regular tube top that they showed off the rest of the year.  Their uniform was a white with light blue highlights pleated mini skirt and tube top affair.  They also had lace up arm covers and an odd lace up halter-top that covered the tube top.  They also wore knee high boots.  Once they got rid of the arm covers and the over top they were cute.  Oddly enough for one race they also wore Raybrig kimonos that were super cute. 


I took a look around to see if they did any of the pro Race Queen photo sites but I didn't find anything so I'll just be going straight to the Race Queen photos from around the internet.  I'm thinking everyone has up what they'll have up at this point.

The Discover Porsche Test-Drive Event

For the most part my e-mail is pretty boring routine stuff but some days there is a gold mind hiding in there.  This week on such gold mine appeared in the form of an invite to a special Porsche test drive.  Not one to skimp on a chance to actually take a new Porsche 911 out for a little spin I dutifully signed up hoping for the best.  The time and date were set and I was looking forward to getting behind the wheel of a new Porsche and I was really hoping I'd get to drive 911. 


The blurb about the Event I got from the Porsche e-mail went like this --
You are invited for an exclusive opportunity to take a test drive through the Discover Porsche Test Drive Event. This event is designed especially for you to demonstrate Porsche Intelligent Performance. Experience the Porsche 911, the New Cayenne, the Panamera and either the Boxster or the Cayman. While you are here, meet and talk to one of our Porsche Sport Driving School Instructors or one of our Porsche Certified dealership personnel. Come in for a test drive and find all the answers on the road. Just like we did. Porsche. There is no substitute.

That definitely sounds like it would be a lot of fun doesn't it?  Although I was rather surprised that I would get the invite but I guess that's what happens when you keep pestering Porsche about press access for the blog and ordering things from them.  Of course this morning I had my doubts about the event when I woke up to find the first snow falling of the season.  Thankfully the snow didn't matter and I arrived to find out that sure enough I was going to get to drive a Porsche 911, in this case it was a Carrera 4S with PDK.  I know know I fail at the stick but hey that's life for right now.

With a very quick little overview of what was going to happen I and Bob, one of the Porsche Sales People hoped in the 911 and followed the other Porsches out on a drive that saw us heading out to a nice winding back country road that I'm sure would be a lot of fun if it wasn't for the falling snow and rain that we were experiencing on the drive, not to mention the huge fog bank as well.   

The Porsche 911 C4S was just fantastic though.  I didn't get to happy with the throttle, I did goose it a bit around a couple corners but all of Porsche's safety systems kept me in check.  That and I really didn't want to scare Bob that much.  I did have Bob take some pictures on the drive as well.  I'm sure it'll get a lot of use during the day.  The good thing about it was that there just wasn't that much traffic out and the weather wasn't being all that bad.  Once back at the dealership we were treated to lunch from one of the Pasta places in town the Macaroni Grill.  It was good and a great way to end a fun little drive.  The drivers were also treated to a goodie bag filled with a Porsche Coffee travel mug and some brochures.

I just want to once again thank PorscheLyle Pearson Porsche of Boise, Bob and everyone else who made this event such an enjoyable way to spend some time out driving a wonderful car on a wonderful drive.  Thank you. Did I mention that I'm a giddy lil' boy and that my Happy meter is pegged at 11 now that I've finally driven a Porsche 911.  Well it is. You can find some other pictures of the event on flickr.

Jeremy Clarkson's The Italian Job

As a die hard Top Gear fan I'm climbing the walls awaiting the next season of the hit British Motoring show but other than a couple specials in late December the next season of Top Gear wont start until January 23, 2011 and will only consist of 6 new episodes.  Thank goodness the guys go off and do their own things and thankfully Jeremy Clarkson always seems to release an interesting car related video during the holiday season.

This year Clarkson is back with a 2 DVD set called The Italian Job and it's awesome.  Clarkson is back in the driver seat by himself where I think he does his best as he takes liberties with several high end exotics around the Imola track in an attempt to lose weight and get fit so that he can participate in an old-school race series.  It's an idea only Clarkson can dream up.

Clarkson in this video drivers a new gen Camaro and bags on it greatly.  He then heads off to Italy and the Imola track as he drives the latest Porsche 911 GT3 and actually likes it.  From there he heads to the Ferrari test track where he gets behind the wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia and 599GTO and has a good time drifting the 599GTO around like a 240SX. From there it's back to Imola to take the reins of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superlegger.  Up next was something I was really waiting for as Clarkson took the controls of the Pagani Zonda R that fabulous Carbon Fiber beauty and the best machine that shattered the Ring time.  And as if that wasn't enough excitement for someone Clarkson then jumps in the driver seat of the new V8 powered Ariel Atom for some more facial amusement.  The Stig makes an appearance, or two, to test the Ariel Atom against the Porsche 911GT3RS.  The final car that Clarkson pilots around Imola for this DVD is the new Mercedes Benz SLS where he proclaims the car as his new favoritest car.  This surprised me actually but it is Clarkson after all.  Before Clarkson heads back to England to go racing in a Classic Touring Car Race he makes a quick stop to pay his respects to where Ayrton Senna crashed and died on the Imola circuit, a nice touching moment.

With that Clarkson was back in England after getting fit in Italy to particapate in a Classic Touring Car Race in a car that he's never driven on a course that he's only driven a couple time and in a piece of crap Camaro around people who've been doing this for years it makes for an interesting race segment.  The car is a fully prepped Ford Escort Mexico with some issues.  The clutch wasn't helping them at all and the car was only put together right before qualifying and then repaired again right before the start of the race.  Thankfully the little green Mexico holds it together to finish the race in one piece and in 7th place.  A respectable finish for a first timer.

With that the DVD is done but wait this is actually a double DVD release (thought no one has tossed the second one on the tubes yet) and the second DVD is a Making of The Italian Job feature that goes behind the scenes of the video as well as giving the fans a bit of carnage with the 5 best car destruction videos as voted for by fans.   Some good stuff is on that second DVD.  Right now you can only buy the DVD in the UK so unless you have a region 2 or region free DVD player (which I don't) you can't buy this DVD for now.  Hopefully someone will see fit to release it on region 1 at some point along with his other DVDs.

RQ Team: Epson Girls

This weekend marks the very end of the 2010 Autobacs Super GT season with the Fuji Sprint Cup race and I haven't watched any of it yet but from the results it looks like it was a spectacular finishing race.  With that I believe that will be the last we'll see of this year's Race Queens.  Now all I have to do is finish up the teams before the end of the year which I don't think will be that hard with only a handful teams left that have been around for the the entirity of season. I'm going to bunch of the one race Race Queens into a single post.  With that this weeks Race Queen Team is the GT500 Team Epson Nakajima Racing Epson Girls.

The Epson Nakajima Racing team ran one of the new Honda HSV-010 cars, unfortunately they did not have a very good year in 2010.  They finished the season in dead last place with a paltry 21 points.  During the Fuji Sprint Cup races they finished 6th in the first race and 4th in the second race.  A little bit better but it doesn't count.  Here's looking forward to a better year in 2011 boys. 

As for the Epson Girls Race Queens well it was probably the most covered up two member group with Minako Yamada (山田美菜子) and Eri Maruyama (丸山えり) seriously I think these two ladies for the most part wore the most clothing of all the race queens.  Their Race Queen uniform was made up of a weird blue overcoat thing with a large opening at the top to expose the blue and white dress underneath.  The dress was a mid-length number emblazoned with Epson.  Their legs were covered by those weird stay up thigh high bell bottom leggings that were really popular the year before.  While their arms were covered from their wrists up to their biceps in an arm band.

I looked around and neither one of the ladies has done any pro-race queen photoshoots at the moment.  So I'll just jump right into posting the Race Queen pictures which surprised me with just how much I found.  I didn't see that many pictures of the ladies but after searching for them I found quit a bit actually.

RQ Team: Lexus Team Petronas Tom’s

It's a week before the Fuji Sprint Cup and I found out that my favorite Super GT Race Team wont even be there.  However the Lexas Team Petronas Tom's group will be there along with their Race Queens who are also this week's Race Queen Team.  The GT500 Lexas SC430 of Team Petoronas Tom's did great this year in the pointed race, finishing the season in first for the last race and second in the championship points.

The Lexus Team Petronas Tom's Race Queen team is a bit different the team is a four member team and each one of the ladies wears a different uniform with a different Race Queen team name.  First up is Yumi Matsutani (松谷裕美) who is the Petronas Syntium Lady.  Her RQ uniform is a white and baby blue miniskirt and tank top number with white knee high boots.  You'll almost always see her with white sunglasses and gloves.  The Second lady is Ayumi Haraguchi (原口亜由美) who is the Houmei Race Queen.  Her RQ uniform is a white with light blue and grey knit accents skort and halter top.  She also wears a jacket and thigh high boots in the same color scheme.  The third lady is Chisaki Takahashi (高橋千咲姫) who is the Banterin Race Queen and her RQ uniform is much like the second ladies uniform except the color scheme is different.  Her's is silver with green and tan accents.  Then the final lady of the team is Yoko Tsurumi (鶴見洋子) who is the Matsumoto Race Queen.  Like the two previous Race Queens her uniform is the same except for the color scheme and her's is yellow with blue and gray sweeter material accents.  One thing is for sure every one of the Race Queens in this time is definitely a hottie.

With four Race Queens it's more than likely that they have done some work for the professional Race Queen photography groups and after a quick look around I found that Yumi and Chisaki have done complete sets for RQ-star while the other two haven't done anything at the moment but that doesn't mean they wont later.  Chisaki did a set for MaidQueenz. Also it looks like a few of them have done various other Race Queen and modeling shoots.  However, lets get going on their Race Queen pictures.

Oct. 31, 2010 Autocross Event

While Saturday's event had nice weather Sunday's event was the complete opposite until the afternoon.  The morning was basically a deluge of rain.  An unrelenting downpour that made the course an interesting puddle filled maze of cones.  Then the rain stopped, it started to dry up leaving the course slick for a while and then for the last run group the course completely dried up leaving them a fun course to run.  Thanks to the rain though not a whole lot of cars showed up for the last event.  But that didn't mean it wasn't a fun last blast of the year.

The Honda CRZ was back out for some last of the year fun.  No Ferrari though.  Mostly it was the regulars that always make it to an event that made it to this one.  It was definitely a diehard's day.  Thanks to the rain there wasn't any spiders out floating around so that was good.  But the cold wet weather wasn't good for me even though I was under my TEIN umbrella it was starting to leak (needs to be re-weatherproofed) and it didn't keep the wind from getting my pants soaked.  The cold weather was freezing my little fingers so I was really happy to see the sun come out during lunch time and for it to start warming up finally.

With the weather warming up the times started to drop fast but not before some people had fun finding out where there was traction and were there wasn't still.  There wasn't really much else going on it was pretty un-eventful and with nothing really new or exciting in regards to the cars that were out there it was a good end of the year run for those last points to get the end of the year trophy.

As for the videos I did remember to bring the tripod and I got a good number of videos something like 88 videos I believe.  That means I now have 1920 videos on my YouTube channel

Oct. 30, 2010 Autocross Event

Fall is here and autocross is done.  This last weekend was the last Autocross event of the year and it was a two day event.  I wasn't planning on going to the event on Saturday as I still had a lot of work to do on my car.  However my roommate went and when he got there he saw something interesting and sent me a picture text message.  Damn!  There was a Ferrari there going to autocross. So I dropped what I was doing and grabbed my camera gear and headed out.

The Ferrari wasn't a cool as all hell model but a 328GTB a late '80s model still cool to see it out there chasing cones.  There were a few other cool cars that had shown up for the last event.  Off the top of my head there was an Opel 1900 out for the first time and a Honda CRZ, yes a hybrid was out autocrossing.  Since I had gotten out there late I didn't get a whole lot of videos and pictures but I did get that Ferrari and Honda CRZ.  I think at the moment I have the only videos on YouTube of an autocrossing Honda CRZ.

One of the seriously annoying things about the autocross event on Saturday were the floating Spiders.  You know how baby spiders find new homes they shoot a web to be caught up in the wind and drift off to a new place.  Well we were getting hit with what had to be hundreds of them.  It made filming an interesting adventure because they would land on you and start crawling around on your skin and would just drive you nuts and while I was holding the video camera and filming it was worst because I couldn't kill the spiders while filming because the genius that I am ran out of the house without the tripod so I was filming in hand held mode and it sucked.

Thankfully after lunch I was able to borrow a tripod from another photographer out there and I got back to being able to film and kill spiders at the same time.

The good thing about the Saturday event is that the weather held up really nicely.  It was overcast like last time but it didn't rain like it was supposed to.  It was a nice cool fall day with some awesome cars out running the autocross course from hell.
